Visiting Our Peterborough Chiropractic Practice

If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

So, check us out here. Poke around. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.

Your First Visit to Our Peterborough Practice

Peterborough Chiropractor

You will be greeted by my wonderful assistant, Kendra. Once you have been welcomed to our clinic you will be given a Personal Health Form to fill out to help us get to know you and your health status. I will read over your information and welcome you into my office/examination room where we will discuss your concerns and goals. If I determine that your health concern is a condition we can help, then I perform a thorough physical examination. If x-rays or other tests are needed we will make arrangements with you. Treatment, if appropriate, may begin the same day.

Back at the front desk Kendra will book your Report of Findings visit and take payment for the day's procedures. Motor Vehicle Accident cases are often taken on assignment. Receipts for other insurance coverage will be provided at your request.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Your Second Visit to Our Peterborough Practice

Peterborough Chiropractor

On your second visit, the Report of Findings visit, we will review the examination findings, explain how they relate to your problems, and review any x-rays that have been taken. Once we determine the seriousness of your underlying condition we will discuss treatment choices that will meet your goals.

Three stages of recovery will be discussed:

  • Relief of Pain or Symptoms
  • Correction or Rehabilitation of your areas of weakness and finally
  • Prevention of Future Problems or Relapses will be discussed.

Finally, a chiropractic treatment program will be agreed to in order to accomplish YOUR health goals.

Regular Visits

Peterborough Chiropractor

Regular Chiropractic visits will require about 15-20 minutes of your time. Initially treatments are often scheduled 3 times per week for best results. Severe cases of pain may be cared for daily if need be, including weekends if possible. Kendra will greet you and direct you to an available treatment room.

If you are having Laser Therapy the treatment time in the office will vary with the area(s) needing treatment. Laser treatments are typically 30, 45 or 60 minutes bookings.

Dr. Jeff Asks some important questions of interest to Peterborough residents - Chiropractor Peterborough Dr. Jeff Asks...

What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Peterborough folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
How does headache medication find the headache?
It can't! Chiropractors know that when you ingest a drug and it enters your bloodstream it numbs or deadens your entire body. Chiropractic adjustments, on the other hand, are specific, targeted and delivered with precision.
